- Butter
- 2 small or 1 large onions
- 3 ribs of celery
- 3-5 carrots
- Salt and Pepper
- 6 oz – 1 pound of diced ham
- 6 cups of chicken stock
- 1 lb of split peas cleaned and picked out
- 2 bay leaves
Saute Butter in instant pot and add onions, celery, carrots, salt, and pepper. Once soft (5-8 minutes), add ham, peas, chicken stock and bay leaves. Mix together briefly.
Pressure cook on high for 15 minutes. Allow it to naturally pressure release for 10-15 minutes before quick release. Adjust seasoning as needed.
