Split Pea Soup with Ham

  • Butter
  • 2 small or 1 large onions
  • 3 ribs of celery
  • 3-5 carrots
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 6 oz – 1 pound of diced ham
  • 6 cups of chicken stock
  • 1 lb of split peas cleaned and picked out
  • 2 bay leaves

Saute Butter in instant pot and add onions, celery, carrots, salt, and pepper. Once soft (5-8 minutes), add ham, peas, chicken stock and bay leaves. Mix together briefly.

Pressure cook on high for 15 minutes. Allow it to naturally pressure release for 10-15 minutes before quick release. Adjust seasoning as needed.
